AAA fantastic tournament at Worsley chess club, after a long lock down, organized by Adam Scoular, with help from Damien Mcelvenny.
Our players in the u120 managed to capture 3/6 of the prizes.
A special well done to Alex and Marcus who shared 1st place 5/6. Also nice to see Hugh back playing who managed 4 and 1/2 out of 6 which earned him £10 for the best under 100 grade.
The over 120 was a very strong event, anyone could beat anyone in the moment. Our new recruit Peter Mulleady was winning the tournament all the way through until the last round where he just couldn’t get over the line, still 4 1/2 earned him joint second place.
A successful night all round.
